bullet Grew up on a small farm in Baltic, SD raising beef cows, horses, cats and dogs. She spent the majority of her time on her horses back.

bullet Persons who have inspired her are her mom and dad and Dr. Reinertson (equine clinician at ISU)
 
bullet Enjoys outdoor activities, especially riding & showing her horse "Deuce", golfing, fishing, and boating.
 
bullet Became a veterinarian because:  she loves working outdoors and with animals and always excelled in school in classes in the biological sciences.
