Diagnostic lab tests enable us to properly diagnose and identify factors
concerning your animal’s health. These tests include a CBC (complete blood
count) which identify white blood cell and red blood cell total numbers, the
total protein count, dehydration or anemia status, and the types of
different white blood cells seen.
Other tests we can do in our laboratory include microbiology (culture)
work, urine and fecal analysis, semen evaluation, blood chemistry including
enzyme and electrolyte values and bone marrow evaluation, progesterone
assays, immunoglobulin levels on foals. We have several tests that we send
out to reference laboratories as well. Being able to run these tests
"in house" with a rapid turn around enables us to treat your animal
accordingly and in a timely fashion.
Along with the tests listed above we can also run heartworm tests, feluke
tests, thyroid, histopathology, and more tests on small animals.
